Modified Cassava Starches’ Identification through Mid-Infrared Spectroscopy and Exploratory Analysis

نویسندگان

چکیده

Different starch properties may cause alterations in the foodstuff’s external appearance. However, modification processes starches are usually secretive. The use of chemically modified is regulated by international standards, which makes it important to identify its presence and type. Mid-infrared spectroscopy (MIR)-modified starches’ identification can be hindered excess glucose. This research investigates types commercial approaches that circumvent MIR’s limitations with exploratory analysis. It also considers enzymatic hydrolysis (α-amylase amyloglucosidase) highlight points structure, detected infrared assays. To determine if sour cassava (FCS) check type, six samples were selected: a native one, three most common (etherified, esterified, FCS), two laboratory processed (Acid, Oxidized). results showed similarities ester an oxidized starch, due formation graft, corresponding what literature has already reported for corn treated lactic acid gamma radiation.

Polymer Identification using Mid Infrared Spectroscopy

Synthetic polymers are very widely used today, with diverse applications in various industries such as food, automotive, and packaging. The quality of plastic products depends on the quality of the polymers or polymer blends used during manufacturing, so identity verification and quality testing of those materials during every stage of manufacturing is necessary to ensure that only high-quality...

Human Milk Analysis Using Mid-Infrared Spectroscopy.

BACKGROUND The composition of human milk is known to vary with length of gestation, stage of lactation, and other factors. Human milk contains all nutrients required for infant health but requires fortification to meet the needs of low-birth-weight infants. Without a known nutrient profile of the mother's milk or donor milk fed to a baby, the composition of the fortified product is only an esti...

DETERMINATION OF BOTANICAL ORIGIN OF HONEY BY MID INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY (Mid-FTIR), COLORIMETRY AND CHEMOMETRIC ANALYSIS

The aim the investigation reported is to determine the potential of determining the botanical origin of honey by a combination of middle infrared spectroscopy, colorimetry and chemometric analysis. Forty-three samples from three types of honey (acacia, linden, and honeydew) are subjected to Fourier transform mid-infrared (Mid-FTIR) spectroscopy. Transmittance spectra with wave numbers from 600 ...

Soil Classification Via Mid-infrared Spectroscopy

The need for rapid and inexpensive techniques for soil characterization has led to the investigation of modern technologies, and in particular those based on reflectance spectroscopy. While near-infrared has been traditionally used, midinfrared in the 400-4000 cm-1 range is becoming increasingly common due to the specificity of the absorbance bands in this spectral range. The present work discu...
